Spring, time for renewal: growth energies are about to awaken. Time to renew Feng Shui energies of your home. A spring clean combined with a Feng Shui taking stock of your home, perfect!

Nature, animals and plants are the most powerful attractors and de tractors of Feng Shui energies. Of course! We are talking about natural forces; Feng Shui influences these forces for our benefit.

1. Front Entrance

This is THE most important aspect of your home. We refer to this area as the "Mouth of Qi" in Feng Shui. This is the threshold natural forces cross to come into your home. So it MUST be inviting, bright and well defined.

If you live in a high-rise unit, this applies to you too. Consider the lobby or front entrance of the unit block as your own "mouth of qi"

The front entrance should be free of debris, dead plants, old newspapers and rubbish bins. Hang up a nameplate and street number for your block or home. Make the numbers and letters large and visible. A Metal or Ceramic nameplate is lucky; avoid using wooden materials for this task. Replace old light globes, and light your entryway. This way, the Feng Shui is activated in the dark.

2. Pathways

The pathway that leads from the street to your front door is equally as important. The pathway should circulate and lead the visitor indirectly to your home. A straight pathway brings negative or cutting energy. Hedging, flowering bushes and low lights along the pathway are a great way to invite good energy into your home.

3. Natural Forces

An effective way to benefit from natural forces is to attract wildlife to your front garden. Plant a butterfly bush; install a bird feeder or a birdbath. A birdbath can double was a Water feature for Feng Shui money luck.
